GiftPickHi, we're Randy and Lyn, the family behind GiftPick.
High school sweethearts, our story began on a school trip, thanks to a few mutual friends. Thirty-plus years of marriage later, we're still the same team.
Why we started GiftPick
For years our lives were busy, with work, kids' activities and band trips all over the country (which we loved!). Whenever a birthday or the holidays came around, we were so busy that we ended up having to ask people what they wanted, and that always felt impersonal to us. It would have been great to have had this kind of search engine back then. So we built one.
Our mission: helping you find the right gift for the right person.
How did you two meet?
A school band trip.
Later on when our kids were in high school, they were in marching band as well, and we fell back in love with it. Traveling with them stadium to stadium, doing competitions all over the U.S., watching them perform at Pearl Harbor and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and just having a total blast.
Go-to team?
NC State (GO PACK!). We both graduated from State, and so did several other family members. We also developed lifelong friendships there (you know who you are 😉). We live in Florida now, but we still watch every game.
Perfect day off?
The beach, then dinner out, topped off with ice cream (of course).
Who else is on the team?
Our kids are grown and off on their own, but we still have the three fur babies at home. They're in charge of quality control:
Lily, our sweet grumpy beagle.
Lexi, our protector.
Ash, our goofball.
